1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the current fcontext market research workspace, including the web application, authentication flows, stock insights, screeners, market movers, economic calendar views, watchlists, portfolio tools, notifications, AI analysis, agent skill catalog, machine-readable resources, and related support surfaces.
By accessing or using fcontext, you agree to these terms. If you use the workspace for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms on behalf of that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the workspace.
These terms are scoped to the product currently available in this repository and deployment. Enterprise workflows, marketplace integrations, or custom contracts may require additional or replacement terms.
2. Definitions
Workspace means the fcontext application and related pages that help users gather market context and prepare research workflows.
User Content means tickers, prompts, notes, holdings, watchlist entries, settings, alert preferences, copied page context, and other information that you enter, save, paste, import, or generate while using the workspace.
Market Data means quote snapshots, historical bars, fundamentals, company profiles, analyst information, economic calendar events, news, social sentiment, market movers, options-chain data, and other financial or market-related content displayed in the product.
AI Output means summaries, explanations, forecasts, signal interpretations, backtest commentary, agent prompts, and other text or structured results produced by configured AI or model features.
Third-Party Services means external providers used for authentication, market data, news, sentiment, AI analysis, company logos, search, browser notifications, hosting, or development tooling.
3. Service Scope
fcontext is an AI-assisted market research workspace. It helps users collect market context, review stock data, follow watchlists, explore portfolio scenarios, inspect market movers, compare securities, monitor calendar events, and prepare research notes for AI assistants.
- Market data, fundamentals, news, economic calendar data, social sentiment, and related signals may come from third-party sources and can be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable.
- Portfolio, watchlist, prediction cache, search history, and model preference features may store data in your browser until sync or hosted storage is added.
- The Connect AI and Agent Skills surfaces are currently product UI and setup guidance unless a specific external authorization flow is enabled.
- Paid plan checkout and subscription management are handled through Creem. fcontext records subscription state and metered data or AI usage for access control.
- Machine-readable resources such as llms.txt, llm.txt, robots.txt, robot.txt, and sitemap.xml are provided to help crawlers and AI assistants understand the public product surface.
4. No Financial Advice
fcontext provides educational and informational research tools only. It does not provide investment, legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and it does not recommend that you buy, sell, or hold any security or strategy.
AI summaries, forecasts, technical indicators, sentiment scores, backtests, and alerts are generated from available inputs and may be wrong. You are responsible for independently evaluating information and consulting qualified professionals before making decisions.
You are solely responsible for your investment decisions, trading activity, tax treatment, regulatory obligations, and risk management. Past performance, backtests, model output, or historical examples do not guarantee future results.
5. Accounts and Access
Some areas may require sign-in through magic link, Google sign-in, or local development access. You are responsible for keeping your email account, devices, sessions, and development environment secure.
You agree to provide accurate account information where requested and to promptly protect or rotate credentials if you suspect unauthorized access. Development magic links, API keys, database URLs, provider secrets, and session cookies must not be shared with untrusted parties.
We may limit, suspend, or revoke access to private workspace areas, API routes, or experimental features to protect the service, comply with law, prevent misuse, avoid provider abuse, or maintain product stability.
6. License and Permitted Use
Subject to these terms, fcontext grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the workspace for internal research, evaluation, education, and productivity purposes.
You may copy or export your own research context where the product provides controls to do so, but you must comply with applicable laws, third-party provider terms, market data restrictions, and intellectual property rights.
No ownership rights in the software, design system, trademarks, data-provider integrations, or underlying product technology are transferred to you.
7. Acceptable Use
Use fcontext only for lawful research and productivity purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, scrape restricted endpoints, overload third-party data providers, reverse engineer protected systems, or use outputs to violate applicable securities, privacy, intellectual property, or export-control laws.
- Do not use the workspace to build or distribute unlawful trading schemes, market manipulation, spam, phishing, malware, or abusive automation.
- Do not use automated requests in a way that degrades the service or violates provider limits.
- Do not upload or paste sensitive personal data, regulated financial account credentials, or information that you do not have the right to process.
- Do not present AI Output as guaranteed, audited, fiduciary, or professional advice.
8. Your Content
You remain responsible for tickers, notes, holdings, preferences, prompts, and other content you enter into the workspace. You should not enter confidential trading strategies, regulated personal data, or information you are not authorized to use.
You retain the rights you have in your User Content. You grant fcontext the limited permission needed to display, store, process, transform, transmit, cache, and otherwise use that content to operate and improve the workspace.
When you copy page context into an AI assistant, enable a provider, or connect an external service, that information may be handled under the external provider's terms and privacy practices.
9. Market Data and Third-Party Services
fcontext may call third-party providers for authentication, quote data, fundamentals, news, market movers, social sentiment, logos, AI analysis, or browser notifications. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, or security.
Third-party data can be delayed, stale, incomplete, incorrectly mapped, unavailable, rate limited, or subject to license restrictions. You should verify important information with primary sources before relying on it.
Your use of third-party integrations may be subject to separate provider terms. If a provider changes or removes access, fcontext may change, replace, degrade, or remove affected product features.
10. AI Output and Model Limitations
AI Output is generated from available inputs and model behavior. It may contain errors, hallucinations, omissions, outdated assumptions, or unsupported reasoning. You should review source data, check dates, and apply independent judgment.
fcontext may use configured AI providers to process market context, prompts, indicator values, or summaries. Do not submit secrets, confidential trade plans, material nonpublic information, or sensitive personal data to AI features.
11. Local Storage, Export, and Deletion
Some workspace features store data in your browser, including watchlists, portfolio holdings, prediction logs, cached fundamentals, search history, model settings, pattern settings, and preferences. Clearing browser storage or using in-product delete controls may remove this data.
Unless a hosted sync feature is enabled, browser-stored data may not be recoverable if you clear storage, change devices, reset the browser, or use private browsing modes.
12. Fees and Billing
Paid plans are offered on a request-based model. Accounts without an active paid subscription are treated as Free and do not include monthly data request or AI call allowances. Build and Scale include larger allowances and may record additional data requests after the included allowance is used.
Creem acts as the hosted checkout and subscription management provider. Payment details, tax handling, invoices, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the checkout and billing portal terms shown during purchase or account management.
13. Intellectual Property and Feedback
fcontext and its licensors own the workspace, software, interface, designs, documentation, trademarks, and other product materials, except for User Content and third-party materials.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or product ideas, you grant fcontext a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
14. Confidentiality and Security
You are responsible for protecting any confidential information you choose to use with the workspace. Avoid entering confidential strategies, client information, credentials, or material nonpublic information unless you have confirmed the environment and providers are appropriate for that use.
fcontext uses reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. Local development builds, third-party integrations, browser storage, copied context, and user-managed provider keys create risks that you must manage.
15. Availability and Changes
The workspace includes experimental and local-development features. We may change, suspend, or remove features, data sources, UI previews, or API endpoints at any time. We may also update these terms as the product scope changes.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific data coverage, model availability, provider uptime, or compatibility with every browser, device, crawler, or AI assistant.
16. Disclaimers
The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, fcontext disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
fcontext does not warrant that Market Data, AI Output, alerts, backtests, technical signals, portfolio calculations, or calendar information will be accurate, complete, timely, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, fcontext will not be liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or indirect, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the workspace.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, fcontext's aggregate liability for claims arising from or related to the workspace will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use the current workspace in the three months before the claim or 100 USD.
18. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless fcontext and its affiliates, contributors, providers, and personnel from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your User Content, your misuse of the workspace, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
19. Termination
You may stop using the workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to any feature or account if we believe you violated these terms, created risk for the service or providers, or used the workspace unlawfully.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are intended to be interpreted under laws applicable to the operator of the deployed service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to try to resolve disputes informally by contacting support. Nothing in these terms prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief where appropriate.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when product scope, providers, legal requirements, or business operations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date.
22. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@fcontext.local or through the Help & Support page in the workspace.
